My Brew Thang

Good conversation deserves a good cup.

My Brew Thang is our coffee-and-connection community — a project my husband and I are building one gathering at a time. Coffee dates, couples’ mornings, and rooms where people actually talk to each other.

The idea

It started with a table and two cups

We got married in July 2026, and somewhere in the middle of planning a life together we noticed something: the conversations that changed things for us almost always happened over coffee. Unhurried. Face to face. Phones down.

So we started making room for other people to have those conversations too. That’s My Brew Thang — not a coffee shop, not a class, just a well-made excuse for people to sit down together and talk about what actually matters.

What we’re about

Helping people build better relationships

Through coffee

The most underrated relationship tool there is. Nobody rushes a good cup.

Through conversation

We bring the prompts and the questions. You bring the honesty.

Through protection

Caring about people means caring what happens to them. That’s where SurCare comes in.

Through community

Gastonia first, then wherever this thing decides to go next.

Events

What’s coming up

Small by design. Space is genuinely limited, so RSVPs matter.

Our gatherings are open to anyone who wants to come. There is no cost to attend, no purchase necessary, and no obligation of any kind.

AUG 22 2026

Couples’ morning

Coffee & Convo

A morning for couples to slow down over coffee and talk through the conversations that matter — connection, communication, and building a life together. Come as you are; we’ll handle the rest.

  • Kuppa Joe Coffee Shop · 3888 W Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052
  • Saturday, 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Space is limited — RSVP to hold your spot.

More dates on the way

Send me the details of your next coffee dates and gatherings and I’ll add them here as proper event cards.

What to expect

No icebreakers, promise

You show up, coffee’s ready

Walk in, grab a cup, find a seat. There’s no name tag and nobody makes you stand up and introduce yourself.

We give you something worth talking about

A few honest prompts, a bit of guided conversation, and enough time to actually get somewhere with it.

You leave with something

Usually a conversation you’d been putting off, occasionally a new friend, and always an open invitation to come back.

Follow along

The everyday version lives on social

Coffee spots we love, conversation prompts, and the behind-the-scenes of building this thing.

The long game

Where this is going

We’re not just running events. We’re building toward a place — somewhere the coffee, the conversation and the community all live under one roof.

Now — the gatherings

Coffee dates, couples’ mornings and community gatherings. Building the community first, in real rooms, with real people.

Next — growing the table

More events, more partners, and a bigger footprint across Gaston County and the greater Charlotte area.

The goal — a laundrocafe

In two to three years: a genuine third place where you can do a load of laundry, get a proper cup of coffee, and end up in a conversation you didn’t expect. Everything we’re doing now is practice for that room.

Stay in the loop

Know about the next one first

Our gatherings are small and they do fill up. Join the list and you’ll hear about new dates before they go public.

The other half of the story

By day, I do insurance

I’m Fallon — a licensed insurance agent and the founder of SurCare Insurance & Consulting. Life, health and Medicare, with auto and home on the way.

It’s the same work, honestly. Sitting down with someone, asking real questions, and helping them protect what they care about. My Brew Thang is just that instinct without the paperwork.
